Terms and Conditions
By agreeing to work with me you are agreeing to work with my terms and conditions, as follows:
Payment
In agreeing to work with me, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the design fee must be made before work begins. The remaining 50%, plus printing and delivery costs is due when work is sent to print. All work will be charged via an invoice with a 28-day payment term, by bank transfer. If this isn’t possible please let me know. Any adjustments to costs will be agreed with you and made clear in the final invoice.

Cancellations
In the event that your wedding or event is cancelled or your requirements change, I’m not able to issue a refund. Any order that has been sent to print is non-refundable.

Process
Work will begin further to a meeting, phone call or email exchange to discuss and settle on ideas. After this, I will begin the design process according to the timeline we have agreed. You take responsibility for providing accurate wording and information for me to include in your order; I cannot accept responsibility for spelling or grammatical errors. It is also your responsibility to provide the information required in the time frame that I request, otherwise timely delivery can’t be guaranteed.
You will receive a first digital proof of the artwork I have created on your behalf. Following the initial proof, you are entitled to 2 rounds of edits. Further edits will be subject to my hourly rate of £25.
If you instruct me to manage your printing for you, printing will commence when I have sign off from you on the final proof. By agreeing the artwork, you are taking responsibility that everything is correct and accurate. If any mistakes are spotted after artwork has gone to print, edits and re-prints will be charged in the final invoice.
If an error is discovered after the final proof is approved and a re-print is required, whether the error occurred within the clients text or was caused in the design stage, the client is always responsible for all costs incurred.
I advise asking a friend or family member to also check your proofs for you.

Rush Fee
Work required ahead of my lead-time will be subject to a 25% rush fee – please discuss with me directly if you need work completed more quickly than a 6-week lead.

Printing
Please remember that digital proofs may not exactly match the final colour print; different screens can show colours differently. I ask you to check your proof on multiple devices before sign off.

Copyright
I hold copyright for all artwork and designs. You, or any third party, are not able to re-use, copy or reproduce any designs from the proofs sent to you. If you would like to use designs for other stationery elements (e.g. reproducing a venue illustration on an order of service) you must obtain my permission. This may be subject to an image release fee. I reserve the right to reproduce elements of your bespoke design for other clients.

Images
I reserve the right to photograph finished invitations for my own marketing purposes, website and social media. Contact details will be removed, and if you would rather I don’t share your designs, please speak to me directly.

Delivery
I use Royal Mail Special Delivery or courier services to post all orders. This is tracked and insured and a signature will be required on delivery. I cannot accept responsibility for anything that is lost in the post or delayed by circumstances outside of my control. I can send parcels internationally but these may be subject to customs charges that will be at your own cost.
If an item is received damaged or faulty I will require photographic evidence and if the decision is made to replace the item the original one must be returned. Postage cost will be refunded should the damage be deemed to require replacement.
If reprints or extra prints are required at a later date, I cannot be held responsible for print variance as they will likely be printed on a different printer and therefore there is room for discrepancy. The unit price for reprinting will likely be significantly higher due to the low volume order. I advise ordering 5-10 extra invites than needed.

Names and addresses
If you are supplying names and addresses to me for invitation or envelope calligraphy, please ensure that all titles, names, addresses and etiquette are correct. I cannot accept responsibility for errors in files supplied to me; re-writes will be at your cost and billed on your final invoice. I ask for a contingency of 15% for invitations and envelopes to allow for mistakes which needs to be factored into your print numbers. I am not responsible for envelopes with calligraphy that do not make it to their destination.

Data Protection
All details received from you are confidential and will only be used by me and my printing partner where needed. Data is kept on file for twelve months and then deleted. Invoices are stored for 7 years as per tax requirements. Please see my privacy policy for more information if required.
